Read This -- Feedback on the New Dinosaur Training Course!

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

We've been getting some great feedback
on the new Dinosaur Training course with
PDF delivery. Here's what your fellow
Dinosaurs are saying:

"Great course, greatly appreciated. I'm 63,
and still hitting it in my garage gym and
farmer carrying in the back yard."

Paul K.

"Brooks, the course was great. It's all stuff
I knew, but it was really exciting to get it
via PDF and read it immediately -- and you
can't beat the price. Definitely look forward
to ordering more courses this way, including
stuff I haven't read yet."

Ira R.

"Great job! A lot of info for the money!"
Ralph M.

"I downloaded the mini-course last night, and
I really like it a lot! If you can keep them coming
it would be a blessing to me at age 62. I have a
few of your other books, but I think the mini-
courses are a plus. Thanks, Brooks, you
are an inspiration to this old Dinosaur!"

Rick D.

"Just ordered the mini-course and reviewed it
at lunch time. Looks good. Nice job, Brooks.
Thank you!"

Jim C.

"I purchased the new mini-course and found
it to be a good read. As you know, I'm a hard-
copy guy at heart, so I'll be printing it off on
good paper. However, if the medium allows
for even miore Dino materials to be produced
and more Dino readers to be exposed to them,
then I'm all for it."

Andy F.

I got the new mini-course. Lots of useful info.
Thanks, Brooks!"

Randy R.

"I looked it over very quickly. The course seems
to summarize in one neat place training,
nutrition and rest for older Dinos."

Oliver S.

As you can see, you fellow Dinos are enjoying the
heck out of the new course. So if you've been
sitting on the fence, go ahead and join them --
and see how YOU like the little monster!

Go here to order the new course for immediate
download -- and remember, at just five clams,
it's the best deal you're going to find anywhere:

And to everyone who has ordered the course --
THANK YOU. We appreciate it!

A Very Good Question!

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

One quick note, and then we'll talk training.

1. The New Dinosaur Training Course.

We have a new course out, and it's available
with immediate download. You order the
course, you get a link, and then you can
download and print the PDF.

It's instant delivery, and it saves you a big
boatload of clams on shipping -- especially
if you live overseas.

The course covers effective training for
older Dinos, and it has a terrific workout
in it -- but frankly, the advice applies to
younger Dinos, as well. And the workout
would be great for any Dino, including the
younger ones.

Here's the link for the new course -- grab
it now, and let me know how you like it. If
it's a hit, we'll do more of them for you:

http://www.brookskubik.com/minicourse_01.html

Be sure to send me feedback since this is
a new way of getting courses to you.

2. A Good Question.

I wrote the new course after receiving an
email from an older Dino (close to age 60),
who asked:

"Brooks,
What in your opinion is the main reason
coaches and trainers think that what works
for a 30 year old will work for a 59 year old?

I seem to run into a lot of resistance on this.

As always, thank you and keep up the good
work."

It was signed by an older Dino. I am not
including his name in order to protect the
guilty -- meaning, the folks who are arguing
with him about this.

But in any event, it's a very good question.

I think there are seven primary reasons why
some people resist the advice to modify your
training as you grow older:

1. It's more fun to write about, talk about and
read about the sensational, over the top stuff.

a. The sensational, over the top stuff is typically
a high volume program with many exercises,
many sets, many reps and daily workouts.

b. Or it's a "Bulgarian" program where you
are supposed to max out every day.

c. Or it features all kinds of funky exercises
that look cool on social media.

d. Or it's what the champ de jour does -- and
everyone wants to train like the champ.

2. The sensational, over the top stuff is all
they know.

a. Not surprising, because it's pretty much
all you see on the Interwebs or in the
magazines.

3. They're young, and they have no idea how
your body responds to training at age 59 (for
example) as opposed to age 20 or even age
30.

a. This is actually okay, because if they keep
training as they grow older, they may learn
how older trainees need to do it.

4. They push the over the top, super
programs and then tell people they can do
them (at any age) as long as they take
enough super supplements.

a. This sells lots of supplements.

b. It also sells lots of other stuff. Roidskies,
for example.

c. All in favor of the free market, but
jeepers.

5. They don't actually believe that older
people still train.

a. They are very, very wrong.

b. We have MANY older Dinos who not only
train, but can out-perform the vast majority
of younger trainees.

6. Some older trainees simply refuse to
admit that their bodies are different at age
60 than at age 20.

a. I guess they view this as a sign of
weakness. IMO, it's the furthest thing from
it -- but it's an emotional argument, and
you'll never win it (and shouldn't even
try).

7. Some well-intentioned people seem to
believe that older trainees need to be treated
the same as younger trainees or else they'll
take it easy and not work hard enough to
make any progress.

a. In my experience, the opposite is more
often the case. Older trainees tend to over-do
rather than under-do.

Anyhow, that's the answer (or rather, the
answers) to the question.

And that's what prompted me to do the new
course.

As always, thanks for reading and have a
great day. If you train today, make it a
good one!

Yours in strength,

Brooks Kubik

Special Advice for Older Dinos!

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

We have a brand new training course --
and for the first time ever, it comes with
digital delivery.

You buy it, you get a link, and there it is.
It covers effective training for older Dinos,
it costs only five clams, and there are no
shipping and handling charges -- so it's
about the best deal of all time.

Go here to grab the little monster:

http://www.brookskubik.com/minicourse_01.html

If this is a hit (and I think it will be), we'll
do more of these.

We chose the topic of strength training for
older Dinos because it's such an important
important topic -- but one that is so widely
ignored. Virtually all training advice over the
past 100 years or so has been aimed at
teenagers and young men. But older Dinos
need training advice that fits their specific
needs.

If you have ideas for other topics you'd
like us to cover in future min-courses,
shoot me an email and let me know
what you'd like to see.

In the meantime, grab this one, read it,
and let me know how you like it.

Yours in strength,

Brooks Kubik

Something New for the Dinos!

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

In case you missed it . . .

I'm resending an email I sent earlier
today. So far, we've had a HUGE
response.

Apparently, this is something that many
of you really wanted to see . . .

Here's what the earlier email said:

As promised, we have something new
and exciting for you.

It's something we've never done before,
but it's something I think you're REALLY
going to like -- and it's something that
can save you lots of clams on shipping
and handling, particularly if you're
one of our many overseas Dinos.

It's a brand new Dinosaur Training mini-
course -- and it's available as a PDF,
with immediate delivery.

It's not available in hard copy or as a
Kindle e-book. It's only available as
a PDF. (But you can print it out, so
it's the same as a hard copy course.)

Here's how it works . . .

When you order the little monster, you
get an email with a link to the PDF file.
You click the PDF link, and there it is,
ready to read.

And THEN -- print yourself a copy of
the course. And save the copy. Start
a notebook of them.

It's important to print a copy, because
the link expires in 24 hours.

The first course covers sensible and
effective strength training for older
Dinos, and contains a terrific training
program for older Dinos.

I chose that topic because I get so
many questions about it -- and because
older Dinos tend to be overlooked and
ignored by everyone else. Virtually all
of the training advice out there is for
the young guys -- and it largely
ignores the needs of older trainees.

And although I call it a mini-course,
it weighs in at a whopping 26 pages.
With photos, even.

So it's actually a pretty good-sized
course -- and it's all new material --
and it's available with immediate
delivery -- and there's no shipping
charge.

And get this -- the little monster
runs just five clams.

That's less than the cost of a grande
mocha frappacino with chocolate
sprinkles, whipped cream and a
cherry.

If this is a hit (and I think it will be),
we'll do more of them. We may price
them a bit higher depending on the
length, the topic, and how long it
takes to prepare the little monsters.

But right now, you have a great
little course waiting for you -- for
five little wampum beads.

Go here to grab it:

http://www.brookskubik.com/minicourse_01.html

Thanks in advance to everyone who
steps up and takes action -- and be
sure to let me know how you like the
course!

Yours in strength,

Brooks Kubik

P.S. Remember to print and save a hard
copy of the course!

Take a Peek at the Dinosaur Dungeon -- With Video!

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

Two quick notes, and then we'll talk
training -- and I'll share a fun little
video with you.

1. Something New Is Coming!

We have something new for you, and
we should be able to launch it today,
after some long battles with various
technical snafus.

Be looking for the big announcement
later today. I think you are REALLY
going to like this -- and if you do, we
can definitely do more of them for you.

2. Our Daily Emails.

We're pruning our email list, and that
may knock a couple longtime Dinos off
the list by accident. If you don't get any
of my daily emails today or tomorrow,
shoot me an email and we'll double-check
to be sure you are on the list -- and if not,
we'll put you back on.

3. Fun Times in the Dino Dungeon!

I had a fun workout the other night.

It was out in the garage, a/k/a the
world famous Dinosaur Dungeon.

It was cold, so I dressed warm, and
took extra time to get the blood
flowing.

After a thorough warm-up, I trained
split style snatches.

The workout was simple: start light
and do plenty of singles -- add weight
and do more singles -- and then repeat
the process a few times.

So the workout was 20 minutes for
my warm-up, and 40 or 45 minutes
of split style snatches.

I've been going back and forth between
split style snatches and squat style
snatches for several years.

I enjoy both movements a great deal.
They're both terrific exercises.

The problem is, I have some dings and
dents in my shoulders, and that makes
squat snatches awfully hard to do. And
sometimes, I end up with sore shoulders
when I train them hard.

As in, seriously sore shoulders.

Split style snatches are much easier on
my shoulders -- but they're harder on my
knees and hips.

There's a technical term for that.

It's called, "the fun of weightlifting at age
close to 60."

Anyhow, I am back to split style snatches,
and had lots of fun doing them the other
night.

I filmed one of the lifts for you. This is what
the Dino Dungeon looks like -- and what the
workouts look like.

As always, thanks for reading and have a
great day. If you train today, make it a good
one!

Yours in strength,

Brooks Kubik

"Whaddaya Think About It? He Asked

Double rope pull-ups - one of the many unique and effective exercises in Dinosaur Bodyweight Training.
          http://www.brookskubik.com/dinosaur_bodyweight.html

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

Two quick notes and then we'll talk
training.

1. Something New Is Coming!

We have something new for you, and
we're trying to launch it today -- but
we're running into some technical
snafus.

We're working at double warp speed
to get everything ready to go -- but it
may take another 24 hours or so. Not
sure.

Anyhow  . . .

Be looking for the big announcement
later today or tomorrow, as soon as
we get everything sorted out. And as
I mentioned before, I think you are
REALLY going to like this.

2. Our Daily Emails

We're pruning our email list, and that
may knock a couple longtime Dinos off
the list by accident. If you don't get any
of my daily emails tomorrow or Wednesday,
shoot me an email and we'll double-check
to be sure you are on the list -- and if not,
we'll put you back on.

3. The "Whaddaya Think About It?"
Question

I get a lot of "whaddaya think about"
questions.

"Whaddaya think about [fill in the box
with the name of any book, course,
training system, workout, supplement,
trainer, coach, or piece of equipment
that you can imagine]."

Whatever it is, someone wants to know
"Whaddaya think about it?"

The answer is almost always the same.

Answer: "I don't. I think about old-
fashioned, Dino style strength training.
And you should do the same."

In other words, don't waste your time
and your energy reading and worrying
about the silly stuff. Keep your focus
on what works.

Of course, sometimes the question is
about something that might actually
work for someone. For example,
"What do you think about doing
squats one week and deadlifts the
next week?"

Or, "What do you think about switching
from 5 x 5 to 10/8/6/4/2?"

Or, "What do you think about doing
deadlifts on a two-inch riser?"

Or, "What do you think about doing
body rows instead of barbell bent-
over rowing?"

Or perhaps, "What do you think about
doing weight training once a week
and bodyweight training twice a
week?"

The answer to THAT type of question
is something like this:

"I've never done that, but it's worked
well for other Dinos. Why don't you
try it and see what happens? Shoot
me an email and let me know how
it works for you."

Or:

"I tried it once and it worked well for
me. Give it a try and see if it works
for you. Keep me posted on your
results."

Or:

"I tried that, and it didn't work very
well for me. But it's worked well for
other Dinos. Give it a try and see if it
works for you. Let me know what
happens."

Notice the pattern?

If something is worth trying, the answer
is to DO IT and see what happens. If it
works for you, that's great. You've added
another arrow to your quiver.

If it doesn't work for you, that's okay. You
gave it a try, you learned something about
your body and how it responds to different
things, and you can use that knowledge to
move forward and make progress.

Remember, the key is DOING something.
Testing it. Giving it a try. And doing so with
total concentration, full focus and intense
effort.

As long as it's not goofball stuff (and most
of the stuff out there is goofball stuff), feel
free to give it a try and see what happens.
That's the only way to know.

As always, thanks for reading and have a
great day. If you train today, make it a
good one!

Yours in strength,

Brooks Kubik
