Brooks Kubik's Strength Training Collection - List No. 2 - Iron Man's Lifting News

Brooks Kubik's  Strength Training Collection

List No. 2 – Iron Man Lifting News

I'm selling 32 issues of Iron Man’s Lifting News, published by Peary Rader back in the 1960's. These are great magazines that focused on strength and power training, weightlifting and powerlifting. With articles by and about top lifters and their training, these magazines are a goldmine of old-school strength and power training.

Peary Rader was the founder of Iron Man magazine, which he edited and published for 50 years before he retired and sold the magazine. You've probably seen old issues of Peary Rader's Iron Man magazine. But you may not have ever seen any old issues of Lifting News - because not many issues were published, and they're very rare and hard to find. So this is a BIG opportunity to grab some magazines you might not ever find again.

This cover photo shows Don Cundy pulling a World Record deadlift. Lifting News covered many of the pioneers of powerlifting, as well as Olympic weightlifting champions.

The price is just $20.00 per issue plus shipping and handling. And if you order 10 or more issues, I'll give you a 10 percent discount.

All orders will be shipped by USPS Priority Mail. Please note that in filling orders we are limited to what we can fit into a USPS Priority Mail shipping box.

Everything listed below is first come, first served, and I only have one of each set, so if you want something, order it ASAP by emailing me at:

info@brookskubik.com

When you email, please give me your shipping address and preferred payment method. PayPal, credit card and check are fine for anyone living in the USA. However, we can only accept PayPal and credit card for orders outside the USA.

Note: if you prefer to pay by credit card, do NOT send your cc info by email. When I respond to you, I'll let you know how to place a secure cc order.

Because these are one of a kind items, we cannot replace them or refund the purchase price, so please give me a secure shipping address, preferably where someone will be there to sign for the package when it is delivered.

We reserve the right to decline any order based on the cost of shipping, delivery issues/concerns in a given country or any other reason.

Shoot me an email if you have any questions!

How to Build Herculean Super Strength

World and Olympic champion John Davis built plenty of strength and power with old-school, Dino-style training methods.

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

Two quick notes and then we'll talk
training.

1. Strength and Health magazines
for Sale

Trudi and I want to move to the
Pacific Northwest next year, and
that means I need to clear out
all of my duplicate strength books
and magazines.

I'm starting with old issues of Bob
Hoffman's Strength and Health -
over 400 of them - at great prices
in special year by year sets.

Go here for the complete list:

Strength and Health mags

I'll be listing other items later
today and for the next week or
so - as you might imagine, I have
a ton of them - and I want to find
good homes for them - meaning,
I want them to go to Dinos.

2. The Dinosaur Files

Go here to grab the Sept-Oct and
Nov issues of The Dinosaur Files
strength training newsletter:

Meanwhile, I'm working away as
fast as Possible on the Dec issue -
and yes, it's going to be another
good one.

3. How to Build Herculean
Super Strength

45 years ago, Bradley J. Steiner wrote
a great little book with one of the best
titles in the history of the world:

"Powerlifting and the Development of
Herculean Super-Strength."

Good title, huh?

In the book, Steiner focused on building
four key areas:

1. Your legs and hips

2. Your back

3. Your shoulder girdle

and

4. Your chest

The theory was, if you built plenty of
strength and muscle mass in those four
key areas, you'd end up with plenty of
strength and muscle mass from head
to toe.

And it's a valid theory. It works. By
focusing on these four critical areas,
you build maximum strength and
muscle throughout your entire body.

And here's another tip. Or rather, three
of them. These come from me, but I
think Steiner would approve of them:

1. Power rack training

2. Rest-pause training

3. Heavy singles

Why do these help build Herculean
super-strength?

Because they let you train with HEAVY
WEIGHTS.

And make no mistake about it -- heavy
weights are what it takes to build
Herculean super-strength.

That was true 45 years ago - and it's
still true today.

And it will always be true.

Today, tomorrow, and forever.

As always, thanks for reading and
have a great day. If you train today,
make it a good one!

Yours in strength,

Brooks Kubik

A Special Bonus - The 10 Week Deadlift Program!

Rich Abbott pulls a heavy deadlift and sets a new Master's Record!

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

I just got a quick heads up on
something from my buddy John
Wood.

John has released two excellent
Trap Bar Training Guides in
Kindle format.

One of the great things about
Kindle is that it lets you add to
a book very quickly and easily.

And that's what John is doing
with the Trap Bar Training
Guide
No. 2.

He's adding something new.

It's a 10 Week Training Program
for the Deadlift - and it's a really
good program - and it's perfect
for Trap Bar training.

If you already have a copy of
the Trap Bar Training Guide
No.
2, you'll be able to read
the new material as soon as
it loads.

In other words, your current
copy will update automatically.
If you don't have a copy, go
ahead and grab one asap. The
10 Week Deadlift Program will
either be in the book by the
time you read this post or will
go in automatically a little later.

Here's the link:

Be sure to leave a review after
you read the book(s) - the reviews
really help.

Happy reading - and happy
training!

A New PR in Two Short Weeks!

I launched my new Heavy Partials training course earlier this year, and many of you grabbed it and made BIG GAINS in strength, power and muscle mass -  and you made them very, very fast.

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

I launched my new Heavy Partials training
course earlier this year, and many of you
have grabbed it and are giving the pro-
gram a try.

That means we're getting a ton of great
feedback on it. Many of you made BIG
GAINS on the program - and you made
them VERY FAST.

For example . . .

One of our many Texas Dinos has been
doing plenty of heavy bench press partials
ever since he got the course - and in just
two weeks he set a new PR in the
bench
press.

Think about that for a second.

New course - do it for just two weeks -
and BOOM - new PR.

That's not too shabby.

It's also not a surprise.

Thirty years ago, when I was competing in
drug-free bench press and powerlifting con-
tests, I traveled from Louisville to Jackson-
ville to compete in a National bench press
contest.

My goal was to set a new age group World
record in one of the two powerlifting feder-
ations I lifted in.

Long story short, I won my age group and
weight class - but missed the World record
attempt.

I was steamed.

I drove back to Louisville cussing and fuming
the whole way.

I went on a special all-partials bench press
program for just two weeks - entered another
National Championship contest in Edison,
New Jersey - and set the new record.

When I set the record, I made an EASY lift
with the weight I had missed just two weeks
earlier in Jacksonville.

So in case you were wondering - yes, this
stuff works.

It works fast.

And it works great.

Go here, grab the new course, and see for
yourself. It's available in PDF or Kindle,
whichever you prefer:

And, of course - be sure to let me know
how you like the new program - and what
kind of results you get from it.

Brooks Kubik
