An Email from Amazon

Amazon sends me emails telling me what I might like in the Kindle bookstore. Most of the suggestions have been pretty good guesses.

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

I woke up this morning and had an
email from Amazon waiting for me.
It was one of those "Thought you
might like this" emails.

And it was pretty much on point.

It included:

John Wood's Trap Bar Training
Guide

http://www.brookskubik.com/trapbartraining.html

Good guess. I like it quite a bit.
I even contributed some material
for it. Including a brand new Trap
Bar workout.

John Wood's Old School Training
Articles, Vol. 1

http://www.oldtimestrongman.com/oldschoolarticles001.html

I definitely like that. John did
a great job with it.

The Dinosaur Strength Training
Notebook, Vol. 1

http://www.brookskubik.com/dinosaurnotebook001.html

Yep, I like that, too. (Heck, I
wrote it.)

The Master Method of Health,
Strength and Bodybuilding,
Lesson 1

http://www.brookskubik.com/mastermethod-001.html

Written by David Willoughby
and my good friend, Bill
Hinbern.

Yeah, I like it. Like it a lot.

Like it so much, I wrote a
special introduction for the
Kindle version.

Brooks Kubik's Old-School
Strength Q and A, Vol. 1

http://www.brookskubik.com/oldschool_01-kindle.html

And that was also a good guess.

I like it very much - as I should,
since I'm the author.

Anyhow, I think Amazon has
me pegged.

It knows what I like.

How about you? Are you getting
any emails from Amazon?

If so, I hope Amazon is letting
you know about the good stuff
out there - including the stuff
John, Bill and I are putting into
the Kindle bookstore.

The Dinosaur Wish List

These are some of our most popular books on Kindle. What would you like to see next?

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

Yesterday I asked for feedback from
the Dinos.

I wanted to know which of my books
and courses you'd like us to release
in Kindle editions.

Obviously, we're going to work on
what you tell us you want to see.
We got a ton of responses, which I
have reviewed. I'm keeping a list of
the number of votes for each book
or course you want to see on
Kindle.

So far, the top items on the Dinosaur
Wish List are these (listed in no
particular order):

1. Gray Hair and Black Iron

2. Chalk and Sweat

3. Strength, Muscle and Power

4. Dinosaur Training (the original Dino
book)

5. Dinosaur Dumbbell Training

6. The remaining books in the Legacy
of Iron Series

7. Dinosaur Bodyweight Training

We also got MANY requests to go
ahead and put the last volume of
the Knife, Fork, Muscle Kindle series
on line. (We broke it up into four
Kindle books to make it easier to
read, and need to release the last
in the series on Kindle.)

Since I can't work on everything
at once, I'm going to work on what
gets the most votes - so send me
an email and let me know what
you want to see next!

To make it easy, here's what's
available in hard-copy:

http://www.brookskubik.com/products.html

And here's everything that's
currently available in Kindle:

http://www.brookskubik.com/kindle.html

Take a look at both lists,
and let me know what to
work on next!

Thanks for your help and your
feedback!

Brooks Kubik

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

I have a question for the Dinos,
and I'm looking for as much
feedback as possible.

So if you can, please shoot in a
response.

Here's the question:

Be Looking for It Right Around Midnight!

We're launching something new and fun on Kindle right around midnight - I don't have the link yet, but here's a list of all of my Kindle e-books. If the list updates when the new book goes live, then you can be one of the first Dinos to grab the new addition to our Kindle library.

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

We have something new and

Well, not yet - but VERY SOON.

Right now, it's being uploaded
into the Kindle system.

So you can't see it right now
(9:42 pm EST as I type this) -

If not then, then sometime
early tomorrow morning.

I'll send an email as soon as

in the meantime, you might
try searching my name in
the Kindle bookstore.

Or try this:

If you click on some of the sales
pages for different Brooks Kubik
books in the Kindle bookstore,
Amazon may very well send you
a notice when the new little
monster is ready to go.

One of those "Hey, if you're
interested in books by Brooks
Kubik, you might like this"
notices.

If that happens, you may be one
of the very first Dinos to grab the
new little monster - which is
always fun to do.

Of course, if all else fails, look for
my next email. It will have the
link.

Helping You Save Clams on Shipping and Handling!

We have 23 books in the Kindle bookstore. This the latest one. You can grab it right here: http://www.brookskubik.com/oldschool_01-kindle.html

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

When I published Dinosaur Training
way back in 1996, postage rates were
fairly low, even for international mail.

So I could fill orders from around the world
at a relatively low cost for shipping and
handling.

But postage rates have gone higher and
higher over the years - especially for
international mail.

Case in point. A guy from Australia
ordered Dinosaur Training today,
and the shipping and handling was
almost double the cost of the book.

That's because our shopping cart uses
Priority Mail shipping as a default
option.

And Priority Mail is expensive for
international shipping.

However, if you want to save clams on
shipping for an international order,
it's easy to do.

Just place your order, and include a note
in the Special Instructions section of the
on-line order form asking us to ship your
book or books by First Class Mail instead
of Priority Mail.

We'll go ahead and calculate the cost for
First Class Mail and ship it that way. And
we'll refund the difference between the
two shipping charges.

Trudi just did exactly that for the guy I
mentioned in Australia - and saved him
a whopping 22 clams on postage.

That's more work for us, of course, but
we're happy to do it if it helps our
Dinos.

Of course, the other thing we're doing to
help with shipping and handling is to offer
Dinosaur Training books and courses in
PDF and Kindle format.

This is a great option for everyone, but
it's especially good for overseas Dinos,
because there is literally ZERO in
shipping and handling charges.

Right now, we have 23 Dinosaur Training
books and courses on Kindle. Here's the
complete list - and we're adding more
and more all the time:

http://www.brookskubik.com/kindle.html

Important - you do NOT need to purchase
a kindle device to read Kindle e-books. You
can download an app that lets you read
them on any device. There's a link for
the app on every sales page in the
Kindle bookstore.

If you prefer PDF to Kindle, check out the
section of PDF books and courses at our
products page. There's a lot of them:

http://www.brookskubik.com/products.html

Also, note that we've bundled Dinosaur
Training Secrets 1, 2 and 3 - so you can
grab all three courses with one purchase.
We got the idea from Amazon, which
bundles all three courses in the Kindle
bookstore.

I know that some of you prefer hard copy
books and courses, and we'll continue to
offer those - but the Kindle and PDF
options will help many of you save
some serious clams.

And saving serious clams is a good
thing.

Yours in strength,

Brooks Kubik

Questions, Answers and a Favor

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

A number of you have asked if my
new training course will be available
in hard-copy format or if it's just
available on Kindle.

Here's the answer:

The new course will be available in
your choice of three formats:

1. Kindle

2. PDF

3. Hard-copy (paperback)

The hard-copy will be printed by
Amazon and shipped to you by
Amazon.

If you're an Amazon Prime
customer, you get free shipping.

We have to format the course
three different ways - one for
each of the different formats.

We decided to start with the
Kindle edition first, and then
follow up with the PDF and
hard-copy options.

We'll get them up as soon as
possible - and I'll send a link
when they're ready.

In the meantime, Kindle fans

Some of the Questions We Cover

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

A number of you have asked
what we cover in my new book.
As you probably know by now,
it's a book of training questions
from Dinos - with my answers
to them.

There are 15 questions, with
detailed answers to them.

They include:

The best footwear for squats.

How to keep your T-levels
healthy and high.

How to break a plateau on
pull-ups.

How the old-timers REALLY
trained.

Exercise alternatives if you can't
do squats.

And much more.

Remember, the more you know
about training, the more effective
and result producing your workouts
will be -- so sprint on over and

A Very Big Thank You!

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

We launched my new book on Kindle
yesterday morning, and the little
monster raced right up to No. 1 in
one of its categories in the Kindle
USA bookstore.

It was No. 2 in another category,
and No. 7 in a third.

It made the top 10 in the UK, three
top 10 lists in Germany, three in
Canada, and two in Australia.

All in all, we're currently in a
dozen or more top 10 lists
around the world - and that's
pretty good for a book that's
less than 24 hours old.

So let me give a great big
THANK YOU to everyone who
stepped up, took action, and
grabbed a copy.

We really appreciate it.

Of course, if you haven't grabbed
a copy yet, you can do it right
here and right now:

The $64,000 Question

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

In case you missed the BIG NEWS
we released a new training course
today.

It's a complete book of questions
and answers about strength
training and muscle building.

It's based on real questions from
real people - your fellow Dinos -
meaning people like you and me.

One of the questions is about
how to keep your T-levels
healthy and high - which is
a question I get all the time,
especially from older Dinos.

The answer to that one alone
is worth the price of the entire
course.

But, of course, there's much,
much more.

So whatever you're doing, I
strongly urge you to sprint
on over and grab a copy:

Revealed - The New Training Course from Dinosaur Training!

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

Many of you are asking about my new training course: what's in it, what does it cover, what will it teach me?

So I thought I'd share the Introduction to the little monster - because that will give you the answer.

By the way, you can grab the Kindle edition of the new course right here:

We'll release the course in hard-copy as soon as we get it formatted. The hard-copy (paperback) edition will be printed and shipped by Amazon. I 'll send a link when the hard-copy edition is ready.
And get this - if you're an Amazon Prime customer, you get free shipping - which is hard to beat!

INTRODUCTION

I began writing for Stuart McRobert’s Hardgainer magazine back in 1991, and began to receive training questions from readers almost immediately.  In 1996, I published Dinosaur Training, Lost Secrets of Strength and Development, and the questions doubled or tripled – and then the Internet arrived on the scene, and soon everyone had email, and before you knew it, I was getting hundreds of questions every week.  That’s continued to the present time, and it will probably last for the rest of my life.

I’ve always tried to answer questions as they come in.  Sometimes I send a short personal response. And other times, when several readers have the same or similar questions, or when it looks like something that many readers might be wondering about, I answer it in my daily emails and post it on the Dinosaur Training Blog.  (If you’re not already getting my emails, go to my website at www.brookskubik.com and sign up for them. They’re a great way to stay up to date with the latest news from Dinosaur Headquarters – and they give you a goldmine of training advice.)

Questions from readers are very important.  If one person sends me a question, there are probably hundreds of others who have the same question.  So when I answer one person’s question, I’m really answering a question for hundreds or perhaps thousands of your fellow Dinos around the world.

My experience in this regard is hardly unique.  Every Iron Game magazine for the past 100 or more years has run question and answer columns and articles, and some of the top names in the business have spent plenty of time answering training questions from readers.  The list includes Eugene Sandow, Bernarr MacFadden, Alan Calvert, Mark Berry, George F. Jowett, Bob Hoffman, Harry Paschall, Peary Rader, John McCallum and John Grimek.

Interestingly, many of the questions that trainees asked 100 or more years ago are almost identical to the questions that trainees are asking today.  It seems that trainees today have the same questions and concerns that trainees had 50, 60 or even 100 years ago.  And that makes sense, because the human body is the same today as it was then – and barbells and dumbbells are the same today as they were then – and the basics of building strength, muscle and power are the same today as they were when Arthur Saxon thrilled the world with his amazing feats of strength.

I was talking about this with my good friend, John Wood, who runs the Old-time Strongman, Functional Hand Strength and Trap Bar Training sites (as well as his new member site, The Iron League).  John suggested that I begin a series of short books collecting my answers to various training questions that might be of interest to a large number of trainees.  That sounded like a good idea, so I rolled up my sleeves and got started.

This is the first book in that series.  I hope you enjoy it, and I hope it answers some of the questions that you might have.

I also hope that you’ll help me with future books in this series by continuing to ask training questions.  You can send them to me at info@brookskubik.com.  Don’t be shy – we love to hear from you.

Yours in strength,

Brooks Kubik

Something New - Be Looking for It!

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

I wanted to give you a quick head's
up. We have something new and
exciting coming for you.

If all goes according to plan, it will
be ready in a couple of days.

I can't tell you what it is, because
it's TOP SECRET - but I think you're
really going to like it.

It's going to be available in three
different editions:

1. Kindle

You order the Kindle edition from
Amazon. Note that you do NOT
need a Kindle Reader to view it.
Amazon has a free app that you
can download. It lets you read a
Kindle book on any device.

Older Dinos LOVE the Kindle
editions because you can change
the font size to make it easy to
read.

And everyone loves them because
you can store an entire library on
your device - which makes it easy
to read up on the Iron Game when-
ever you have a spare minute or
two.

2. PDF

You order the PDF edition directly
from me. We send it to you as a
link in an email.

When you get it, download the
PDF asap. The link expires in 24
hours, so you need to be sure to
download it.

After you download it, you can print
it out or just save it on your device.

3. Amazon hard-copy (paperback)

This is brand new. You order from
Amazon. Amazon prints and ships
it to you. If you're an Amazon Prime
customer, you get free shipping.

We tested this with the January 2017
