The Seven Seven Special!

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

I don't usually do this, BUT --
tomorrow is a special day for our family.

Tomorrow is July 7 -- and July 7 is the
day my oldest stepson married the woman
who later became the mother of two
beautiful twin girls -- our little
granddaughters, who are already in
training for the 2032 Olympics.
(Well, okay, not in HARD training --
but they ARE in kiddie gymnastics.
That counts!)

And since July is the seventh month,
that means tomorrow is 7/7 -- and
that's a pretty lucky number.

So I decided to celebrate by holding a
Seven Seven Special.

Here's the deal:

1. The Seven Seven Special is in effect
from now until midnight EST on Saturday,
July 7. (As in, starts now, ends at midnight
tomorrow.)

2. While the Special is in effect -- but
ONLY while it is in effect - you can grab
seven Dino Products of your choice and I'll
throw in your choice of any ONE of my other
books or courses for free. In other words,
if you buy seven products, you get your
choice of a free book or course.

2A. This only applies to books or courses
we already have in print. Not to future
books or courses.

3. Note: You can grab seven products pretty
easily. There are five Legacy of Iron books,
and you can grab all five at a special discount
price. See the order button at the bottom of
the sales page for Legacy of Iron 5, Barbells
in the Pacific. That would count as five
products, so you'd just need two more to
make seven.

3A. Or, you can grab all five of my Dinosaur
training DVD's -- and again, you can get all
five at a discount -- and that also would count
as five products. So two more would get you
to seven.

3B. There's also a special price if you
order three Dinosaur Training Muscle Shirts,
and that would count as three products, leaving
just four to go.

3C. Back issues of The Dinosaur Files newsletter
count as TWO products. (I know there's 12 issues
in year 1 and 12 issues in year 2, but counting
them as 12 separate products would be stretching
things. So, as I said, 12 back issues will
count as TWO products.)

3D. If you're a fan of Dinosaur Bodyweight
Training, I have seven Dinosaur Bodyweight
Training DVD's. I don't have them up on the
website, but if you're interested, shoot me an
email and I'll tell you how to order them. The
set of seven DVD's would count as seven products.

4. If you placed an order earlier today and want
to add to it to make seven, shoot me an email ASAP!

IMPORTANT: I have three stepchildren, but only
the oldest is married, so it you're interested
in grabbing some goodies and getting a free book,
do it now. I won't be celebrating anyone else's
anniversary for a long, long time.

Any questions, shoot me an email.

Yours in strength,

Brooks Kubik

P.S. The Dino goodies are right here. Scroll
around a bit, because there's plenty to choose
from:

http://www.brookskubik.com/products.html

P.S. 2. I almost forgot. If you want to take
advantage of the Seven Seven Special but you
need to send a check or money order, shoot
me an email before the deadline (midnight
EST on Saturday, July 7), and the email will
hold your place.

The "What Next?" Question

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

I've written a ton of books and courses,
and that leads to questions from readers
who say something like:

"I've read Dinosaur Training and I LOVED
it. What should I read next?"

So I thought I'd save myself some time
and answer all of the "What next?" emails
at once.

I currently have five training books and
four training courses available. They all
cover old-school strength training  and
muscle-building, but they focus on different
ways to get there. I'll review the books right
now, and cover the courses in another message.

1. DINOSAUR TRAINING

DINOSAUR TRAINING is my first book. I published
it in 1996, and it became a world-wide sensation
and a huge best-seller. It covers heavy singles,
death sets, training with heavy awkward objects,
grip training, thick bar training, concentration,
visualization, the mental aspects of strength
training, building tendon and ligament strength,
and plenty of Iron Game history. It's fast and
furious, and super-motivating. It's impossible
to read and not want to go out and train!

2. GRAY HAIR AND BLACK IRON

I published GRAY HAIR AND BLACK IRON in 2009.
The sub-tile is SECRETS OF SUCCESSFUL STRENGTH
TRAINING FOR OLDER LIFTERS and that sums it up
pretty well. It focuses on "the forgotten man"
(or woman) in the Iron Game -- the older trainee
(anyone over 35 qualifies). It covers everything
an older trainee needs to know (and do) to keep
on training and to get great results from his
training, including simple cycling systems for
older trainees, exercises to avoid, sets and reps
for older lifters, diet and nutrition for older
lifters, cardio training for Iron Heads, and
over 50 workouts designed exclusively for older
trainees from beginners to advanced lifters.

In short, it teaches you how to stay in the game!
It's been widely popular, and is one of my best-
selling books.

And although I wrote it for older lifters, a
number of younger trainees have found it to be
extremely helpful. I sometimes get emails from a
younger guy who read it and tried one of the "old
guy" workouts and found that it bused his you
know what. (Fiendish chuckle from all of the
older Dinos reading this.)

3. STRENGTH, MUSCLE AND POWER

STRENGTH, MUSCLE AND POWER came out in 2010. It
has 29 chapters, covering abbreviated training,
specialization programs, workouts for cellar
dwellers and garage gorillas, finishers, sandbags,
thick bars, unusual grip exercises, tendon and
ligament training, heavy partials, rack work,
rest pause training, ultra-abbreviated workouts,
one exercise workouts, and more.

The book consists of articles I wrote for Milo,
Hardgainer, and the Iron Master -- but I updated
them, and I introduce each of them with a brief
preface to help put them in context. It's an
encyclopedia of super-effective training methods,
and a great read -- and it has tons of great
workouts in it. Another Dino favorite, and
another best seller.

4. CHALK AND SWEAT

I wrote CHALK AND SWEAT because I'm always getting
requests to write up a workout for someone. I can't
do that for everyone -- they're aren't enough hours
in the day.

So I wrote  a book that has 10 different workouts
for beginners -- plus 10 different workouts for
intermediates -- plus 10 workouts for advanced
trainees -- plus 10 leg specialization programs
for building ultimate muscle mass -- and 10 back
specialization programs to build even more strength
and mass. That's 50 workouts, and they can take
a beginner and turn him into a human Hercules.

CHALK AND SWEAT came out in December 2010 and
it's been very popular. I've rec'd many emails
from Dinos who made great gains on one or more
of the CHALK AND SWEAT workouts.

5. DINOSAUR BODYWEIGHT TRAINING

DINOSAUR BODYWEIGHT TRAINING is a revised version
of a course I published in December 2005. The
original version was in a three-ring binder. The
current version is a perfect bound book in 8 1/2
x 11 format.

I wrote DINOSAUR BODYWEIGHT TRAINING as if it were
an old-time physical culture course. There are 12
Lessons (each lesson is one chapter). It covers
everything you need to know about building strength
and muscle with progressively more demanding
bodyweight exercises -- and let me emphasize, this
is NOT the typical high rep stuff you usually see
when people talk about bodyweight training. It's
about working your way from the easier exercises on
up to some truly demanding ones -- which is how you
make bodyweight work an effective strength and
muscle builder.

DINOSAUR BODYWEIGHT TRAINING was a big hit when it
came out in 2005, and it's an even bigger hit now.
Therer are many Dinos who use it for all-bodyweight
workouts, and even more who use it to combine
weight training and bodyweight training.

THE WRAP-UP

That covers my five training books. There's another
one on the way very soon -- DINOSAUR DUMBBELL
TRAINING -- but we'll talk about that in another
message.

Anyhow, that's the answer to the "What next?" question.

As always, thanks for reading and have a great day. If
you train today, make it a good one!

Yours in strength,

Brooks Kubik

Big Breaking News from Dino Headquarters!

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

I wanted to give you a quick heads up.

There's something new coming from Dino
Headquarters.

A new training course.

And you're really going to like it.

Several times over the past year, I asked
readers for feedback to see what you'd most
like to see in the way of Dinosaur Training
courses.

There was one topic that was hands down
the single most popular course among the
members of the Dino Nation.

So I made the time for it -- sat down --
rolled up my sleeves -- and got going.

You're going to be seeing a sales page for
the new course sometime in the next 24 hours --
and quite possible, within just a couple of
hours.

So I just wanted to give you a big heads
up -- and tell you to be looking for an email
titled:

NEW DINOSAUR TRAINING COURSE!

It will give you a link to the sales page --
and you can take it from there.

Yours in strength,

Brooks Kubik

P.S. You can find everything else right here at
Dinosaur Headquarters -- books, courses, the Legacy
of Iron series, Horatius, Black Iron: The John Davis
Story, Dino DVD's, the Dinosaur Files newsletter,
Dino t-shirts, hoodies, and more:

We're Getting Down to the Wire!

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

This week is our big push to get Holiday
orders out in the mail -- so if you're
planning on ordering a book, course,
DVD, DVD set, hoodie, t-shirt, sweat
shirt, muscle shirt, back issues of
the Dinosaur Files newsletter, or a
subscription to the Dinosaur Files,
please DO IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Also -- if you want me to autograph a
book or course for you, pls include a
note asking for an autograph in the
Special Instructions section of the
on-line order form.

There's no charge for an autograph,
but if you want one, you need to ask
for it.

In other Dino news:

1. I'm finishing up a great new training
course. Details to follow very soon.

1A. I took a poll last summer asking what
you would most like to see in a training
course -- and one particular topic was far
and away the number one choice of readers --
and that's what we're covering in the
new course.

2. The December issue of The Dinosaur Files
newsletter ran a bit late this month. It's
at the printer, and we should be able to mail
it out tomorrow or Thursday. It's another
great issue, with tons of Dino-style training
advice, including the legendary 33/55 Program.

3. Many of you have been asking about vol. 6
in the Legacy of Iron series. It will be coming
out in 2012 -- and the action will be fast and
furious, just like the first five books in the
series!

4. We're almost out of Dinosaur Training DVD's,
and the new ones won't get in until next week,
so it's strictly first come, first served on
them. If the DVD's are on your Holiday list, act
now!

http://brookskubik.com/dinosaur_dvds.html

http://brookskubik.com/goingstrong.html

5. We're getting lots of orders for Dinosaur
Training hoodies, which are always popular items
at this time of year. They come in gray, black
and Dinosaur blue. Currently, we have all colors
and sizes in stock, although that can change quickly
depending on how many orders come in for a particular
color and size.

http://www.brookskubik.com/dinosaurtraining_hoodie.html

6. If you don't already have them, the Legacy of
Iron books make great Holiday gifts. You can save
some clams by ordering all five of the books
together. See the information page for Legacy of
Iron 5, Barbells in the Pacific.

http://www.brookskubik.com/barbells_pacific.html

7. Lots of readers are adding one or both of these to
their orders -- they're a little bit different, but
they're great reading and great fun --and they make
great Holiday prezzies:

http://www.brookskubik.com/horatius.html

http://www.brookskubik.com/blackiron_johndavis.html

There's more to report, but that's enough for now.

Remember -- help us help you -- by ordering early!

As always, thanks for reading, and have a great day.
if you train today, make it a good one.

Yours in strength,

Brooks Kubik

P.S. I mentioned the Dinosaur Training Hoodies, but
forgot to mention these -- they're pretty popular, as
well:

Another Speedwriting Challenge!

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

Readers occasionally send me speedwriting
challenges such as "Answer 10 training
questions in 10 words or less per question!"
(which I actually managed to do).

Here's one that came in over the weekend:

"I CHALLENGE you to describe each of your
books, courses and DVD's in a GRAND TOTAL
of 100 words or less."

Now, mind you -- this came from a longtime
reader -- someone I would consider a friend --
and the LAST person on earth I would ever
expect to issue this kind of "impossible"
challenge.

By the way, he added, "If you can do it, I'll
order one of everything and give them away as
Christmas presents. If you can't, I win a
Dinosaur Training hoodie."

I showed the email to Trudi.

"I'll pack up the hoodie," she said.

Ouch. It hurts when you get an impossible
challenge and your better half doesn't think
you can do it.

So here goes:

1. Dinosaur Training: Lost Secrets of Strength
and Development:

The bible of strength training.

(That's 5 . . . )

(That makes 14 . . .)

5. Dinosaur Bodyweight Training:

The encyclopedia of bodyweight training.

(That makes 24 . . .)

6 - 10. Legacy of Iron, Clouds of War,
The 1,000 Pound Total, York Goes to War,
and Barbells in the Pacific:

A time-machine to the golden age
of might and muscle.

(34 . . .)

(BTW, that's not cheating because they're part of
a series.)

11. Horatius:

Epic action adventure.

(37!)

12. Black Iron: The John Davis Story:

The life of a legend -- and how he trained.

(46 . . .)

Vol. I, Doug Hepburn:

Man!

14. Dinosaur Arm Training:

Your guide to building strong and massive
arms.

(Up to 61! With 6 DVD's to go . . .)

15. The Lost Art of Dumbbell Training DVD:

The key to super strength.

(66 -- 5 DVD's to go -- I may be in trouble!)

16. Bags, Barrels and Beyond DVD:

Heavy awkward objects -- lift, throw, carry!

(That makes 72!)

17. Power Rack Training DVD:

How to be super-human!

(76 . . .This is getting close.)

18. Olympic Lifting Fundamentals DVD:

Build strength, power and speed!

(That makes 81 -- with two DVD's to go!)

19. Strength Training Basics DVD:

Barbell, basement, lifter. The basics.

(And now we're up to 86 -- with one to go.)

20. Going Strong at 54 DVD:

How I spent my 54th birthday -- and how I train
at age 54.

(That makes 99 -- which means -- I WIN!)

I am still UNBEATEN in speedwriting challenges --
so if you think you've got a good one, send it
on in and we'll see what happens!

Yours in strength,

Brooks Kubik

P.S. You can grab any or all of the books, courses
and DVD's covered in this email right here at Dino
Headquarters:

P.S. 2. I need to go tell Trudi to unpack that hoodie!
