Hail to the Dinos!
There was a young guy from Louisville,
Kentucky who was hitting the iron at the
gym one day.
Or rather, he was waving some light
dumbbells and pumping reps on a
chrome-plated monkey machine.
No squats, no deadlifts, no standing
presses. None of the heavy stuff.
In other words, a typical guy doing a
typical workout at a typical gym.
While he's training, he's listening to a
podcast.
That's usually not a good idea, but it
actually worked well in this case.
He hears an interview with Charles
Poliquin, the Strength Sensei.
Likes what he hears, so later on, he
goes to Charles Poliquin's website to
check things out.
Finds a section where Charles Poliquin
recommends various books -- and one
of them is Dinosaur Training.
There's even an embedded video about
it.
The kid follows the link and bounces to
the Dinosaur Training website.
He starts reading my bio.
Suddenly, he realizes that he knows
 me.
In fact, he's a very good friend of my
eldest step-son. They were even in a
band together.
He's been over to the house plenty of
times. He even attended our wedding.
He knew I lifted weights, and he knew
I had competed in powerlifting, but that
was all he knew about it. He didn't know
about Dinosaur Training and my other
books and courses.
Anyhow, he joins our email list and sends
a personal email outlining the story I just
shared with you.
And he says he's been training for awhile,
and not getting any results -- and he wants
to start doing Dino Style training.
Of course, what he doesn't know is that my
step-son is hitting the iron 3 times a week
out in our garage -- following a special Dino
program I wrote for him.
So we're going to invite the new guy over
for some serious, Dino-style training right
here in the Dino Dungeon.
I don't know about you, but I think he hit
pay dirt.
As always, thanks for reading and have a
great day. If you train today, make it a
good one.
Yours in strength,
Brooks Kubik
