Philadelphia's Louis Abele sets himself for a heavy press back in the early 1940's. At a bodyweight of just under 220 pounds, Abele could perform a military press with over 300 pounds! |
Hail to the Dinosaurs!
Ever since releasing my new course on
heavy partials, I've been getting tons
of emails with questions about the
program and how to perform it.
One of the common questions relates
to heavy partial presses.
I goes something like this:
"My power rack isn't high enough to
let me do standing press lockouts.
What should I do?"
As i say, I've been getting the question
quite a bit - which is funny, because I
answer it in the course!
It's covered right there at pages 20 -
21.
Short answer:
Do heavy partial presses from forehead
or nose height - press the bar off the pins
and raise it 1 or 2 inches - and then hold
it for the count.
It's not a lockout, but it's a very good
strength builder.

training program - grab the course:

It's a good one - and I think you'll
really like it!

P.S. If you missed Dinosaur Strength
and Power Course No. 1, you missed
another good one. It covers old-school,
strength-style arm training - meaning
that it teaches you how to build arms
that are big AND strong - massive
AND powerful:
