My Old-School Training DVD's

A 302 pound push press with a Christmas tree barbell - featured in my Power Rack Training DVD. Note the chains at the end of the bar to get us up over 300 pounds. This was shot 20 years ago at the original Dinosaur Dungeon. There's another two hours of action on the DVD.

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

I sent this email recently, but ever
since I began posting videos of my
workouts here at Dino Headquarters
I've been getting questions about
my old Dino DVD's and where to
get them.

"Where are they?"people ask. "I
can't find them on your website."

So I thought I should cover it again.

Back in the late 1990s, I made five
Dinosaur Training videos:

1. The Lost Art of Heavy Dumbbell
Training

2. Bags, Barrels and Beyond

3. Power Rack Training

4. Olympic Lift Basics

5. Strength Training Basics

We didn't have I-phones back then,
so I had to do things the old-fashioned
way.

I hired a professional camera-man,
and shot each of them in the original
Dinosaur Dungeon.

Each of them is about 2 hours long,
and each of them has a ton of lifting,
non-stop action, and plenty of chalk
and sweat.

The camera-man loved the assignment.

He was used to filming wedding videos.
This was a *little bit* more exciting.

I sold them in VHS format for a long
time, and then we remastered them
to DVD.

But I don't carry them today.

I've licensed them to John Wood so
that he can feature them at the Iron
League member site.

So that's the place to go if you want
to see them.

And frankly, it's a great deal - because
the cost of a one year's membership is
less than the cost of all five DVDs. And
you get to see a ton of other great Iron
Game stuff, as well.

So if you missed them the first time
around, or if you didn't see all of them -
or if you bought the DVDs but can't
find them after your last move or the
last big flood - then sprint on over and
join the Iron League:

As always, thanks for reading and have
a great day. If you train today, make it
a good one!

Dinosaur Style Bench Press Training

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

I've been sharing some emails about power
rack training and how I used the power rack
to improve my bench press, and as a result,
I've been getting a ton of emails about bench
pressing.

That includes a lot of questions about how I
used the power rack for bench press training.
It also includes emails from readers asking me
to give them a special bench press program.

In fact, I've received so many emails that I
can't answer all of them, much less prepare
personalized workouts for readers.

So I thought, "Maybe I need to prepare an
updated bench press course for the Dinos."

And perhaps I also need to do an updated
power rack course -- because the two courses
would work together pretty well. After all,
there's nothing better than power rack
training to bring up your bench press.

But before I start, I thought I'd make sure
that you'd like to see these courses -- and
I'd also like to know whether you prefer
them in hard copy, Kindle or PDF format
with electronic delivery.

Also, if you'd like to see me cover either
or both programs on DVD -- or perhaps on
some sort of downloadable video, sort of
like NetFlix or other streaming video -- let
me know.

Anyhow, those were my thoughts -- so
please shoot me an email and let me
know what sounds good to you!

Yours in strength,

Brooks Kubik

We've had a terrific response so far --
but please step up and take action if
you have not already done so. I know
it will mean a great deal to Tommy.

3. Follow Me on Instagram, Facebook
and Twitter!

I'm posting some great photos and video
on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Be
sure to follow me and join the fun. And
hit the LIKE and SHARE buttons as much
as you can. (Consider it "active rest" for
your thumbs and fingers.)

I'm on Facebook at Brooks Kubik.

I'm on Twitter at #brookskubik and
#dinosaurtraining.

And I'm right here on Instagram:

https://www.instagram.com/brooks_kubik/

4. Dinosaur Training DVD's

I still carry my Dinosaur Training DVD's
and my Bodyweight Training DVD's -- but
I've also let John Wood upload them at
his member site, The Iron League. Of course,
there's a ton of other great stuff at The Iron
League  -- including some things that are so
rare that I've never seen them anywhere
else -- or even knew they existed. And that's
saying a lot, because I've been collecting Iron
Game books, courses and magazines for close
to 50 years, and I thought I had "seen it all."
Go here to join up:

http://www.ironleague.com/

5. Dinosaur Training Seminars

Are you interested in attending a Dinosaur
Training seminar here in Louisville?

Are you a gym owner -- and would you like
to host a Dinosaur Training seminar?

If the answer to either question is "Yes!" then
shoot me an email. If there's enough interest,
we can make start doing some seminars this
year.

The Wrap-Up

There's more to cover, but that's enough for
now. As always, thanks for reading and have
a great day. If you train today, make it a good
one!

Shipping Madness at Dinosaur Headquarters!

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

Things are crazy here at Dino Headquarters.
If Santa's elves saw us in action, they'd run
in terror. That's because if Santa saw us in
action, he'd know the elves were moving
way too slow.

I'm signing books, writing notes, and tossing
books, courses, DVDs and other Dino goodies
into shipping boxes -- along with bonus
photos, which we always include whenever
we can.

Meanwhile, Trudi is printing address labels,
weighing boxes, running postage, and helping
me pack the shipping boxes.

When everything is packed, we race off to
the Post office -- and then we come back
and start all over again.

The goal is to get everything in the mail in
time for Christmas.

It's a lot of work, but it's for the Dinos --
and as I've always said, the Dinos deserve
the best.

Anyhow, if you want to place a Christmas
order, please do it now -- and if you want
me to autograph a book or course and include
a personal note, be sure to let me know who
to sign it to.

If someone orders a present for you, be
sure they give me your name and ask me
to autograph it for you (if it's a book or
course) or include a personal note  (if it's
a DVD or DVD set).

And, of course, if you have any questions
about a book, course or DVD, send them
on in. We're getting a lot of emails asking
for gift suggestions, as in, "My 14 year old
son wants to start a weight training
program -- what book or course should
he start with?"

I'll send a training email a little later. Right
now, there's more packing to do!

Yours in strength,

Brooks Kubik

P.S. My Dinosaur Training DVD's make a
great Christmas present -- and so does
my Going Strong at 54 DVD:

302 Pounds of Iron

302-pound push press
I thought you might enjoy a peek at my old training quarters -- a/k/a the basement gym in my old house.

That's a 302-pound push press, using a Christmas Tree Barbell.  I had to load the bar with small plates because the ceiling was too low to use 45 pound plates. I ran out of plates and finished loading the bar by using small lengths of chain rolled into a circle and wrapped with duct tape.

I made this lift after a special two-week power rack training program that took my push press from 275 pounds to 300 pounds.

I cover this program -- and much more -- in my Power Rack Training DVD:

http://brookskubik.com/dinosaur_dvds.html

I also give you a brand new power rack training program in Book 1 in the new Dinosaur Training Strength Archive series:

Hard Copy

http://www.brookskubik.com/dinosaurtraining_archive.html

Kindle E-Book

http://www.brookskubik.com/dinosaurtrainingarchive_kindle01.html

If you want to build some serious strength, old-school power rack training will get you there.

As always, thanks for reading, and have a great day. If you train today, make it a good one.

The "What's Your Best?" Question

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

Several people have asked me about my
best lifts, as in "What's your best
squat?" or "What's your best deadlift?"

Whenever I get the same question or
the same sort of question from several
Dinos, it means that ten thousand others
have the same question -- so I thought
I'd answer it in an email.

I also thought I'd give you some best
lifts from as far back as high school.
Everything is with a barbell unless
otherwise noted. All wts are in pounds.

Age 11 -- seventh grade (beginner)

Squat, press, bench press 40 pounds

At some point, I hit my first big
lifting goal -- 65 lbs in the BP.
That was cool because I could use
those GIGANTIC black iron 25 lb.
exercise plates!

Not long after, I made my first
memorable miss -- dumping 95 lbs.
forward and over my head (cracking
the floor tiles) on a set of squats.
Ouch! I got in big trouble over
that one.

Age 14 -- freshman in high school

BP 270 on Universal Gym BP unit

clean and press 135 (barbell)

Age 15 -- sophomore in HS:

bench press 225

squat 250

DL 320

Age 19 -- sophomore in college

clean and jerk 225

Age 19 or 20 --

BP 320 (using some awesome homemade
concrete plates that weighed 75 pounds
apiece)

Age 21:

bench press 350

Age 25

BP 315 x 5, 335 x 3, 355 x 1

In my 30's, after discovering Dino
style abbreviated training and doing
plenty of heavy power rack training,
bottom position bench press, bottom
position squats, thick bar training,
etc. -- as detailed in DINOSAUR TRAINING
and in STRENGTH, MUSCLE AND POWER:

bench press -- 407 (paused, in National
competition)

bottom position bench with 3" thick bar
(in the power rack) -- 435 or 440

DL -- 550 or 555

Squat -- 605

BB curl 185 x 5 reps

seated high incline press (80 degree
incline, starting from the chest) -- 320

clean and press 275

push press 320

one-hand deadlift 435 using a McDonald
BP bar -- 405 using a 1 3/8 inch cambered
bar

DB BP (starting from the bottom) -- 180
lb. DB's, just missed a pair of 200's

one-hand DB deadlift -- 300 lb. DB

two-DB DL -- 200 pounders

two-DB clean and press -- 126 lb. DB's

two-DB clean and push press -- 126 lb.
DB's

one-hand DB swing -- 151 lb. DB

thick-handled DB swing -- 131 lb. DB

one-hand DB clean and push press -- 151
lb. DB

Note: You can see some of the DB lifts on
my original DVD, THE LOST ART OF DUMBBELL
TRAINING:

http://brookskubik.com/dinosaur_dvds.html

vertical bar lift, 2" thick handle -- 250

pliers lift -- 250

finger lifting -- one finger -- 200 lkbs.

finger lifting -- two fingers -- 300 lbs.

two-finger deadlifts -- 350

two-finger hand and thigh lift with 2.5"
thick bar -- 750 or 800

Note: Please don't run out and try maximum
weights in any of these exercises without
a reasonable period of training. Many of them,
such as finger lifts or two finger deadlifts,
require lots of training to toughen
and strengthen the tendons and ligaments.

In looking back over the years, what really
stands out is that I took a long time to
really put it all together and learn how to
train for serious strength and power.

The real key was to use Dino style
abbreviated training and divided workout
schedules rather than total body workouts
three times per week.

And 5 x 5 and heavy singles helped me
enormously -- as did the bottom position
work in the power rack. As noted, you
can read more about my training programs
and exercises in DINOSAUR TRAINING and
in STRENGTH, MUSCLE AND POWER.

As always, thanks for reading and have a
great day. If you train today, make it a
good one!

DinoMan Needs Help from Dinos!

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

Yesterday we shot hundreds of photos for
my new book on Dinosaur Dumbbell Training.
It was a heck of a workout!

We'll shoot several hundred more today.

So, yes, the book is coming together very,
very fast. And it's looking pretty darn
good.

I'm going to do my standard pre-publication
special to launch it -- and in that regard,
I have a favor to ask:

If you've seen my original Dinosaur
Dumbbell Training DVD -- or if you saw me
teach Dinosaur Dumbbell Training in London
last month -- please send me an email with
a brief testimonial or endorsement.

I'll use these to help promote the book, so
by sending a testimonial, you'll be helping
to support the cause.

If you're a professional coach, trainer,
author or whatever, include one line of
background info and the link for your
website, title of your book, name of your
gym, or whatever. That will let me give you
a little free publicity if I use your
testimonial.

In addition, the BEST testimonial (my choice)
gets a free Dinosaur Training t-shirt!

So put on your thinking cap -- and send me a
testimonial for Dino-style Dumbbell Training!

And to everyone who responds -- THANK YOU!

Yours in strength,

Brooks Kubik

P.S. If you've never seen my original DVD
on Dino-style Dumbbell Training, you missed
a real treat. Here's how to grab it:

http://brookskubik.com/dinosaur_dvds.html

P.S. 2. Not to worry. No dumbbells were killed
in the making of this DVD.

Heavy Dumbbells in London

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

At last week's seminar in London I
taught Dinosaur Dumbbell Training.

On the second day of the program
I decided to give the students a
special treat. They deserved it.
They'd been working really, really
hard all weekend.

We had just covered the two dumbbell
clean and jerk -- so I asked if they'd
like to see my try to beat the IAWA
World record in that lift for my
age and weight class.

And they all said, "YES!"

So I rolled a big pair of dumbbells
over to the center of the lifting
area, chalked up, put on my war
paint -- grabbed them -- and swung
them to my shoulders.

And then I missed the jerk.

Missed it bad.

And that's not good.

So the pressure was on. And I was
starting to kick myself for doing
this.

I chalked up a second time -- and
walked over to the two grinning
monsters.

I looked down at them.

They looked back up, defying me to
lift them.

I tried it a second time.

I "almost" made it.

Locked out the right arm -- but
couldn't lock out the left.

I was really winded now. And I was
pretty darn mad at myself. I should
have known better. After all, I'm old
enough to know better.

I mentally kicked myself -- HARD --
but doing that didn't make the dumbbells
any lighter.

I had to do something.

I asked if anyone wanted to give them
a try. No one volunteered.

I said I'd give a free copy of Dinosaur
Training to anyone who could lift the
two dumbbells.

Will Dollar, a super-strong kettlebell
lifter and kettlebell coach, stepped
forward -- chalked his hands -- grabbed
the dumbbells -- and made a great lift.

And that gave me a precious minute or
two of rest.

Now the dumbbells were tired, and I
wasn't.

I chalked up -- and walked toward them.

You can see what happened on YouTube --
starting with my second attempt -- but
be warned, the title of the clip is
NSFW -- and it's a little loud -- so
if you're at work, watch it later on:

Enjoy the action!

Dinosaur Dumbbell Training

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

Yesterday I did some heavy dumbbell training.
It was a hot day, and the sweat was flying.
And so were the dumbbells!

My approach to dumbbell training is 100 percent
old school. The old-timers used dumbbells for a
variety of different lifts -- mainly overhead
lifts.

Some of the favorites were:

1. One-hand dumbbell swings

2. Two dumbbell swings

3. The one-dumbbell clean and press

4. The two dumbbell clean and press

5. Dumbbell bent presses

6. The one-dumbbell clean and jerk

7. The two-dumbbell clean and jerk

8. The one-hand dumbbell snatch (using
a single dumbbell)

9. The two-dumbbell snatch

10. Dumbbell side presses

11. The two dumbbell clean and alternate
(or see-saw style) press

12. Overhead squats performed with one
dumbbell

13. Overhead squats performed with two
dumbbells

14. The two dumbbell curl and press

15. Dumbbell deadlifts using two dumbbells

Today, many trainees have never even heard
of these exercises, much less seen them --
and hardly anyone uses them.

That's a shame, because the old-school
dumbbell lifts build serious strength and
muscle.

Fifteen years ago I followed a special program
of all-dumbbell training two days a week, and
one workout where I did squats. It was a great
program. The dumbbell training and the squats
were a perfect combination for building
strength and muscle.

One of my readers asked how to perform a two
dumbbell clean and press. He said he had never
seen anyone do it. That led me to film my first
training video, The Lost Art of Dumbbell
Training.

Like me, it was old-school. We filmed it in the
original Dino Dungeon, and there's chalk flying
everywhere, and tons and tons of heavy lifting.
I work up to 151 pounds in the one-hand dumbbell
swing and the one-hand dumbbell clean and push
press -- and that's a lot of weight to toss over
your head with one hand. Fun stuff!

Anyhow, yesterday was dumbbell day -- and it
was a great workout!

Give dumbbells a try. You'll like them!

Yours in strength,

Brooks Kubik

P.S. I transferred the Dumbbell Training
video to DVD -- and you can find it (along
with my other DVD's right here:

http://brookskubik.com/dinosaur_dvds.html

P.S. 2. I also have a set of seven killer
DVD's that cover Dinosaur Bodyweight Training.
I haven't had time to put a link up on the

an email and I'll tell you how to order
them! Of course, the Dinosaur Bodyweight
Training book is also available -- and it's
one of our most popular books:

P.S. 3. Thought for the Day: "Dumbbell training
is fun -- and effective!" -- Brooks Kubik

Sitting Here Shaking my Head . . .

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

I'm sitting here shaking my head as I
type this.

I'm looking at a training program that
appeared in an old magazine back in
the 1950's. It was written by a top
bodybuilder.

For the legs -- two sets of leg presses
and three sets of calf raises. Nothing
else. No squats. No front squats.

For the back -- one arm dumbbell rowing
and shoulder shrugs. No deadlifts. No
power cleans. No power snatches. Nothing
at all for the lower back muscles.

Twice as much upper arm work as leg
training.

Wow!

And mind you, this workout came form one
of the GOOD magazines -- not one of the
goofball magazines for muscle pumpers.

If I were advising a beginner -- or anyone
else -- about his training, I'd suggest a
slightly different approach:

1. Do squats.

2. If you don't do squats, do front squats.

3. Do deadlifts.

4. If you don't do deadlifts, do power
cleans, high pulls or power snatches. If
you prefer to use dumbbells, try the exercises
on my Dumbbell Training DVD -- they'll work the
heck out of your lower back:

http://brookskubik.com/dinosaur_dvds.html

5. Specialize on your legs and lower back, NOT
on your upper body.

Remember, leg and back training is what
triggers big gains throughout the entire
body. To succeed, you MUST do plenty of leg
and back training -- and over time, you need
to work up to heavy weights in your leg and
back exercises. There's no other way to do it.

And that's why I'm scratching my head. Two
sets of leg presses? No deadlifts? No lower
back training? Sorry, but this workout gets
two thumbs-down from Dino Headquarters!

As always, thanks for reading and have a
great day. If you train today, make it a
good one!

Yours in strength,

Brooks Kubik

Barbells, Dumbbells and Kettlebells!

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

I was reading an old weightlifting book
at breakfast this morning.

It described all of the official lifts
used in competition in the B.A.W.L.A.
(the British Amateur Weightlifting
Association) going back prior to World
War One. It included barbell lifts,
dumbbell lifts, and kettlebell or
ring-weight lifts. It also included
special developmental exercises to
be used to build strength and power
for performing the competition lifts.

And I noted something interesting.

Some of the lifts and exercises were
performed with a barbell.

Some of them were performed with a
a single dumbbell.

Some of them required two dumbbells.

Several required dumbbells loaded so that
the back end was heavier than the front
end.

Some of them required a single kettlebell
or a single ring-weight.

Others required two kettlebells or ring-
weights.

And others required a barbell PLUS a
dumbbell -- or a barbell PLUS a kettlebell
or ring-weight -- or a dumbbell PLUS a
kettlebell or ring-weight.

That's interesting in many respects.

For one thing, it gives you a good idea
of the proper answer to the question,
"Which is better -- barbells or dumbbells?"

Or, the one you hear more often nowadays,
"Which is better -- barbells or kettlebells?"

Or, "Dumbbells or kettlebells -- which is
better?"

In the old days, they didn't ask those sorts
of questions. Instead, they trained with all
three -- and in some exercises or lifts, they
used two different lifting tools (e.g., a
barbell and a kettlebell) at the same time.

It was a good way of training. There was
plenty of variety, but everything you did
was old-school, hard core, basic and
productive.

And all it required was a barbell -- a set of
dumbbells -- and some kettlebells.

That made a pretty good little gym "back in
the day" -- and it makes a pretty good little
gym today!

BTW, if you're wondering what book I was
reading and where to get a copy, go here:

http://www.superstrengthtraining.com/william_pullum.html

As always, thanks for reading and have a great
day. If you train today, make it a good one!

Yours in strength,

Brooks Kubik

P.S. The one hand swing is one of my favorite
old-school lifts. It builds strength, muscle,
speed and explosive power -- and it's tons of
fun! You can learn how to do it on my DVD,
The Lost Art of Heavy Dumbbell Training:

http://brookskubik.com/dinosaur_dvds.html

P.S. 2. My books and courses -- including Black
Iron: The John Davis Story and the Legacy of
Iron series -- are right here:

hard work intelligently applied. Nothing."

Important Updates for Dinos!

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

Breaking news -- I'm doing another interview
today on SuperHuman Radio. It will be on at
1:00 EST. Catch it live or download it later
on.

The topic will be Physical Culture -- What
Have We Learned -- and Where Are We Going?

It should be a pretty interesting show, and
I think you'll enjoy it.

In other news and updates, I'm running late
on the Feb issue of The Dino Files -- but it
should go out in the mail this week. It needs
one more set of revisions from the layout and
design guru (not me, I don't know how to do
that stuff), and then we can get it printed.

My other big project is the new course on John
Grimek. I've been writing and researching like
crazy, and as always happens, I'm finding a ton
of interesting stuff, including some things I'd
never seen before.

One real interesting thing is a set of Grimek's
measurements when he started training. I'd always
thought he was a fairly husky kid -- but that
wasn't the case. You never would have imagined
that he was going to become the greatest natural
bodybuilder of all time.

I'm also finding lots of interesting info on
his early training. Good, good stuff. And yes,
as you might imagine, it was a little bit different
than what guys do today when they start "pumping
iron." In fact, it's probably fair to say that
only about one trainee out of a bajillion trains
the way Grimek did when he was starting out. Or
maybe we should make that one out of one hundred
bajillion. (And I'm willing to bet that any such
trainee gets my daily email messages and reads my
books and courses!)

I've also found some other fascinating things that
have nothing to do with Grimek. One of them includes
a special Challenge Workout that Sig Klein liked to
spring on his gym members just to keep them on their
toes. It's a bear. I'm going to give it a try, and
see how it works. Stay tuned for the report.

In between everything else, I'm working on the order
page for the Grimek course -- so we'll be getting it
up soon. And yes, we're going to do the standard
pre-publication special -- and this time, we're
going to make it a DOUBLE bonus if you order during
the pre-publication special. After all, this is John
Grimek, and if anyone deserves a double bonus, it's
John Grimek.

As always, thanks for reading and have a great day.
If you train today, make it a good one!

Yours in strength,

Brooks Kubik

P.S. One of Grimek's favorite exercises was the one arm
dumbbell swing. I cover it in detail -- using the style
that Grimek and the other York lifters used -- in my
Dumbbell Training DVD. Check it out:

http://brookskubik.com/dinosaur_dvds.html

P.S. 2. My newest DVD, GOING STRONG AT 54, has been
getting great reviews. You can find it right here:

P.S. 3. My other books and courses -- and the Dinosaur
Files newsletter -- are available at the usual place:

barbell plus lots of plates equals one great workout."

Monday Morning Updates for Dinosaurs!

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

We have a ton of things going on, so let
me give you some updates and ask some questions.
Your thoughts and feedback are very important to
us.

1. The October Dino Files

was mailed last week. If you subscribe to the
Dino Files newsletter, shoot me an email when
you get your issue, and let me know the answer
to the question posed in Jurassic Jottings about
the possibility of offering your choice of hard
copy or electronic delivery for The Files when
we begin year 3 of publication.

2. Dino Files subscriptions

I still get questions about the Dinosaur Files,
so let me answer the biggest one right now.

Yes, you can order all of the back issues for
year 1 of The Files. Do it here:

http://www.brookskubik.com/dinosaur_files.html

Yes, you can order a subscription for year 2,
and I'll send the back issues for May 2011 to
October 2011 to get you started -- and then send
each monthly issue so you end up with the complete
12 issue set. For a current subscription, go here:

http://www.brookskubik.com/dinosaurfiles_renewalpage.html

3. Dinosaur Bodyweight Training

goes to the printer today, so we're right on schedule.
To reserve your copy during the pre-publication
special, go here:

http://www.brookskubik.com/dinosaur_bodyweight.html

4. E-Books

If you plan to order Dinosaur Bodyweight Training when
it comes out in e-book form, pls shoot me an email and
let me know. Thanks!

5. The Dinosaur Training Blog

If you're anew reader, be sure to browse the Dinosaur
Training Blog. There are tons of great posts with lots
and lots of information for Dinos.

I post each daily email on the Blog, so it's a good
way to stay posted on things if the email doesn't get
to you for any reason. But pls do NOT unsubscribe from
the emails and rely on reading the Blog. Use BOTH of
them as a way of staying in touch.

I had some tech issues with the Blog in September, and
wasn't able to post all the emails, so folks who were
relying on the Blog only didn't see everything.

So use BOTH methods to stay in touch.

6. Legacy of Iron 6

Many of you have asked about Legacy of Iron 6. It will
be coming out early next year.

7. Feedback, please!

I would appreciate feedback on any and all products,
including (in particular) the October issue of THE
DINOSAUR FILES, DINOSAUR ARM TRAINING, and GOING
STRONG AT 54.

8. A Dinosaur Seminar

I've been asked to speak at a seminar next year --
with a four hour slot to cover anything you'd like
me to cover.

Yes, that's four hours of up close and personal
Dinosaur Training.

I haven't selected a topic yet -- so let me know
what you'd like to see!

9. Dinosaur Training on Facebook.

I'm on Facebook now -- under Brooks Kubik -- so if
you use Facebook be sure to shoot me a friend request.
That's another way to stay in touch and keep up to
date on what we're doing at Dino HQ.

10. Dinosaur DVD's.

GOING STRONG AT 54 has been a big hit, and I'm going
to be shooting another DVD pretty soon. What would you
like me to cover in a DVD?

That covers the biggies for the day. As always, thanks
for reading, and have a great day. If you train today,
make it a good one!

Yours in strength,

Brooks Kubik

54 Dino Years and Counting

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

Well, it's here!

Today's my birthday. I'm 54 in Dino years.

To celebrate, I'm hitting a heavy workout
in the garage -- and I'm going to film the
entire session and make it available for
you on DVD.

I'm calling it GOING STRONG AT 54! -- and you
can learn more about it right here:

http://brookskubik.com/goingstrong.html

In other Dino news:

1. The September issue of the Dinosaur Files
newsletter has been printed and will be mailed
to subscribers tomorrow or Monday, depending on
how fast we can get them into envelopes.

It will be another great issue with a TON of
great training articles.

And yes, you can still subscribe to the 2011 - 2012
sub year. We'll start your subscription with the
May 2011 issue and send May thru Sept in one
package, and the other issues month by month
through April 2012. For further info, go here:

http://www.brookskubik.com/dinosaurfiles_renewalpage.html

We also have back issues for the complete 2010 - 2011
sub year. You can find them here:

http://www.brookskubik.com/dinosaur_files.html

2. My new course, DINOSAUR ARM TRAINING, is
the best-seller of the week -- by far -- and it
was last week's best seller, as well.

It's a heck of a course, and you're really going
to like it.

And please note -- if you ordered the arm course and
you add the new DVD to your order, you'll get them both
for no additional shipping and handling charges. (See
the note at the bottom of the special information page
on GOING STRONG AT 54!):

http://brookskubik.com/goingstrong.html

3. A Big Thank You!

I've been flooded with birthday wishes via email and
facebook. I won't be able to respond to everyone
individually, so let me just say:

THANK YOU FOR REMEMBERING MY BIRTHDAY!

Now insert a T-Rex with gray in his hair and a great big
smile . . .

As always, thanks for reading, and have a great day. I'll
be training between 4:00 and 7:00 tonight, so if you hit
the iron then, we can train together.

Yours in strength,

Brooks Kubik

P.S. My books, courses, Iron Game novels, my new biography
of lifting champion John Davis, The Dinosaur Files, Dino
sweatshirts, t-shirts and muscle shirts are all here:

GOING STRONG AT 54!

Hail to the Dinosaurs!

Happy Labor day to everyone who lives
in the USA -- and Happy Monday to
everyone else!

I'll keep this short and sweet:

1. My birthday is September 9. I'll
be turning 54.

2. To celebrate, I decided to do
something special for the Dino Nation.

3. I asked you what you wanted to see,
and hundreds of you responded.

4. So I'm going to put together the one
thing that so many of you requested.

5. It's a new Dinosaur Training DVD --
and I think you're really going to like
it.

6. I also think you're going to like the
title: GOING STRONG AT 54!

7. For more information, go here:

http://brookskubik.com/goingstrong.html

As always, thanks for reading and have a
great day. If you train today, make it a
good one.
